Harry Potter and Hermione Granger are the victors from District 12, chosen to fight in the annual 73rd Hunger Games. After being whisked away to the glamour of the Capitol, they find themselves in a deadly arena where anything and everything can be an enemy. Despite wanting to distance themselves from their competitors they somehow end up forming an alliance with a red headed boy from District 11, and the three of them become a team, depending on each other to survive. 

In the arena they’re going to have to face several dangers created by the Gamemakers for the viewers’ entertainment. Among other things, they encounter huge flesh-eating spiders, vicious dragons, giant trolls, and cloaked figures that suck all joy out of the world. And then, of course, there’s the small issue of the other 20 kids that are seeking to kill them. Particularly dangerous are Tom and Bellatrix, the victors from District 1, both volunteers. Not only are they extremely good at killing, but they quite seem to enjoy it. 

It’s time for the 73rd Hunger Games to begin. May the odds be ever in your favor.
